Merry Christmas

“And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus (Hebrew, Yeshua), for He will save (Hebrew, yosheea) His people from their sins.” So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us” Matthew 1:21-23.

Perhaps the greatest story ever told, where would we be without His amazing grace. I am so thankful we are not under the wrath (law) of God. God gave the Jewish people four thousand years to realize no human could ever fulfill the law. Now He has given everyone two thousand years to understand His sacrifice and how wonderful the day of grace is and how blessed we are with His becoming a man, fully God yet fully man.

Jesus gave up His royal throne in heaven for one reason and one reason alone, to seek and save the lost
! Luke 19:10. All of the busyness the church finds herself caught into is absolutely worthless unless we win the lost.
I Corinthians 1:17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel – not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.

The power of the cross is the power that transforms darkness into light. The power that has changed our lives to be His disciples and now we “pray it forward.”

Let’s give Jesus this Christmas what He came to do and that is for every person who will receive Him shall have eternal life.

Merry Christmas, Pastor Roger
