It is not difficult to write to those you love, and I love the Body of Christ, our wonderful church. No, we are not the only Body but we are a Body. One thing I know for sure, we win whether we live or die. Well we are living right now and I think we should be sure and keep our eyes on Jesus and how He redeemed us from death. What a wonderful God we serve and now we are getting a chance to stand up for His Name. We must not be defeated by what the enemy is saying through the media. One person said how can we improve; then the answer was quit watching the news. I agree yet I want to encourage everyone to stay in God’s Word and if possible, gather in these corporate prayer meetings. I know you pray at home same as you have a relationship with Jesus. However, there is power in prayer meetings with the Body of Believers. Jesus is the one who birthed His church. His bride and I for one want to do all I can to bring light in this most difficult time.

We are in the middle of a crises but our eyes are on Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. Think about that, He began faith in you and I; now He must finish it, How does your faith grow? Untested faith is useless, so our faith must be tested in order to grow. It is not faith in faith but faith in Jesus Christ who is our victory. Jesus has already won the battle and what He wants out of us is to live like we believe it.

As a born-again Christian, you must believe He defeated the devil on Mount Calvary. He rose from the dead and He is coming back for those who believe in Him.

We believe, we serve no matter what the cost.

Halfway through July and what a fun summer it has been so far. None of us believe this virus is not real because many have had “the sickness”. However, I am concerned as to how many do not see the real battle. First and foremost, this is a spiritual attack against Jesus Christ and His Kingdom. If Christians ever needed to gather together and pray, it is now. The Bible clearly instructs the Body of Christ to join together and pray for God’s protection. We must never allow the enemy to intimidate us as born-again believers. We must pray against these attacks on the Body of Christ. You know what has happened in California even home gatherings are now outlawed. There are physical attacks against many Catholic churches and as non-Catholics, you might not care but these attacks will increase to every church if we don’t cry out to God for a stop to this evil. Yes, we must take precaution the very best we can but if we allow fear to govern our church, it is a sure sign of lack of faith. You know we must have faith to please God. Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

We must never forget what I call “the Jesus factor” and that is after we have taken every precaution, we must never forget we are not of this world, we are part of His Kingdom. He promises to never leave us or forsake us and that is the real truth.

2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, yes well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

One does not have to be a Bible Scholar to understand this verse, but one does have to have faith to believe it and live it.

                                                                    God Bless,

                                                                    Pastor   Roger

Fathers Day

Today we celebrate a great tradition. All sons and daughters express their feelings, emotions, and love towards their fathers. It is a lovely way to remember the honor of fatherhood. This day we also realize that there is no society that could be grown without fathers. A father is the most precious gift of God who brings us on earth and grows a next generation with his priceless love, care, and sacrifices…
Without our Father in Heaven we would surely be destroyed.  In Mathew 9:9 it tells us how to pray, Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father, who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name”.  His name is holy and as we honor our fathers here on earth, we must remember to honor our Holy Father in Heaven.  He is the creator of all and deserves our worship.
In today’s world, more than any other time in history, we need to acknowledge our heavenly father.  He is the only hope we must have to make it through the next day.  Our earthly fathers can only do so much to get us through these trying times, but our heavenly father will always see us through whatever we are going through.  We must learn to always call on Jesus, our heavenly father, and receive His healing and comfort.
As I always say, “It is all about Jesus”, He is the way, the truth, and the light.   As we celebrate this Father’s Day let us take time to remember our Heavenly Father in Heaven.

                                                                            God Bless

The Children

Well, our 30th anniversary has passed and it was a wonderful celebration. We want to give a big thank you to John and the men who worked so hard to serve our great church. I especially want to thank our Yap Island members who also loaded the Coffman’s U-Haul Wednesday afternoon. What a blessing all of you laborers are as I know God will continue to bless each and every one of you. I have been thinking all week about what a great job you men did and then Friday morning our Daily Bread really gave confirmation. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. (10) For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up.

This has always been one of God’s greatest blessings to our church, as we have so many committed men and women who always pitch in to help make this a wonderful place to be.

Now as we enter the summer, we are seeking God has to how do we reach more boys and girls with the gospel. I think first every youth leader, teacher, Rangers, Missionettes and even the nursey should ask God to renew their vision for kids. One thing I have learned if the leader isn’t excited about their ministry, the people sure won’t be. I know we all are sold out to Jesus but we all must pray and ask God to let the spiritual fire burn inside and this goes for me as well as all of you. Jesus was always loving children and forbid the disciples of keeping them from Him. I sure remember my Sunday School teachers and felt their love for me as they taught these great Bible stories. We won’t have to keep telling people we love them when they can sense our spirit just like we sense theirs. We will win them by the love of Jesus and the power of His Word.

                                                                    God Bless,

                                                                    Pastor   Roger

Under attack?

Ever feel like you are under another attack? Well, you are! Jesus said through Timothy (2 Timothy 3:12) “Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.”  Then He reminds us in vs 13 “But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.”

The apostle Peter said in chapter 4:12 “Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial, which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you?”

So here is the Word of God telling us exactly what is happening and we all know these scriptures but somehow we tend to forget them when we are really under bombardment. We must keep looking up to the one who saved us and remember Jesus is about ready to claim His bride, are you ready?

Let’s reflect on this past week, last Thursday we enjoyed a great National Day of Prayer. Even though many were in their cars, we still cried out to God for our nation. Last Sunday was a glorious day of worship, prayer and His Word, He poured out His Holy Spirit in a wonderful way. Then we had City-Wide Prayer meeting with Pastor Dan and UFF on Monday night; one of the most powerful in many years. Yes, Jesus is blessing all who seek Him.

We see light at the end of this attack of corona-19 and thank God, but that doesn’t change the return of our Lord Jesus. Yes He is coming for His bride and I know we are part of that marriage. Let’s keep our eyes on the Eastern sky because He is about to rapture the “true church”.

Above all things keep your faith in Him because He loves His children and will not allow us to suffer wrath.

1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

                                                                     God Bless You,
                                                                  Pastor   Roger

May Day

May Day, yes the month is here and what a spring it has been. No one dreamed our government would shut down the church in the United States of America. However, as you know this has happened for the first time since the founding of our own free nation. We all know freedom isn’t free, many thousands have given their lives willingly to allow this great nation to enjoy liberty. Now we are being tested as to whether we will ever enjoy the freedom God has given us. We must stand united or we will fall divided. The only true unity is in the body of Jesus Christ. I know each and everyone will agree with this eternal truth. We must stand together as the body of Christ and His righteousness. Are we in the last days before Jesus raptures His beloved bride? We do not know the hour or the day but I really believe we are in the season.

If you are reading through the Bible using the Daily Bread schedule, we read today in Luke 21:36 “Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all those things that will come to pass and to stand before the Son of Man.” Yes, Jesus has given us a plan to escape these tribulations coming upon the world. He said “pray always” and yes that means all who want to be raptured. This Thursday at noon we will gather together for the National Day of Prayer for our nation. It will be at Pastor Oberg’s church and you can be safe sitting in your car and yet pray with us. We must pray God will restore our land and heal our people.

This is one hour a year we commit to praying for America and believing He is our one and true God who paid our sin debt with the sacrifice of His only begotten Son. “Jesus said can you not pray one hour?”

                                                                   God Bless You,
                                                                  Pastor   Roger

The Last Sunday

Last Sunday of the month, we could be approaching the last Sunday of our lives. I do believe we are seeing all the signs before the return of Jesus for His bride. Are you looking for Him? Are you sure your spiritual bags are packed? The Bible clearly teaches we must have our wedding clothes ready for the wedding banquet. I know we all are looking forward to His return but we must never forget what He said to do until He comes for His own.

Luke 19:13 “So He (Jesus) called ten of His servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business (occupy) till I come.’”

What does an army do when they occupy a foreign country? They take possession of everything. I know we can’t take over our entire country, but I am confident we are not to be passive little sheep. We are spiritual warriors, tearing down every evil stronghold. So how do we do that? We can’t blow up abortion clinics or shoot evil people, but this is a spiritual battle not physical. I would ask, does our prayer life intimate the kingdom of darkness? Have you taken your spiritual authority in this so-called pandemic? The only way any Christian can do this is through intercessory prayer. Do you think the devil is intimated with your singing or your spiritual philosophy? I am very concerned with leaders who shy away from corporate prayer. We are Pentecostal and Pentecostals pray out loud.  Where does the Bible tell us we can relay our gifts and talents? Nowhere, that’s where, we are to humble ourselves and cry out to the One, the Only One who saves us. We can rise up to a higher realm in these dark days and turn things around by prayer and supplication. Join me in these Prayer Meetings, and if you need help in payer, let our leaders know. That is what we do.

                                                                   God Bless You,
                                                                Pastor   Roger

And the beat goes on.

And the beat goes on. I am sure all of you are more than tired of this pandemic. I know I am and I haven’t been shut in like so many of you. Now we hear if we would not have shut down, we would be through it. Then we hear had we not shut down, there could have been over a million deaths. Who do we believe? Believe God, He is always truth. This really is the time to press in and stay in His word. We all must find some alone time with God. I know it can be a challenge when you have a family all cooped up but we must find a way free of distractions for time with God through His Holy Spirit. What do people do who do not know we have access into the Holy of Holies since Jesus split the veil in two. The devil tried to steal Easter but I think he just stirred up true Christians. If you are a part of this great body of believers, you know how to combat spiritual darkness in high places. We are trained by the Word of God exactly how to overcome. We must remember in Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” In this case “they” are “we” in this time of warfare.

We just read this week in the Daily Bread 1 Samuel 30:6b “But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.” Make a plan and work your plan, Now the weather is much nicer, find a place to meditate upon Him. Jesus Christ is the only one who knows what you are going through. Trust Him, tell Him your needs and concerns, He cares for you. He also wants you to tell Him your needs and give Him praise for who He is, not just what He does. He is the Great “I AM” confess His name, He will see you through.

                                                                   God Bless You,
                                                                  Pastor   Roger

Resurrection Sunday

Thank God for Easter, Resurrection Sunday comes, of course, after the most injustice ever done to an innocent man. However, here is proof that God turns for good that which the devil means for bad. This Friday was really Good Friday as every true Christian knows the rest of the story. Yes and we know in the end of time as we know it God is victorious in the person of Jesus Christ. It was the very flesh of God who hung on the old rugged cross. The perfect man and the perfect God who now dwells in His believers by His Holy Spirit. We must keep our faith strong in Jesus and all of you know how to do that. We have taught and encouraged for 30 years. Now our faith is being tested. Please remember untested faith is useless!

In case you are feeling a little discouraged or anxious, just think what it must be for those who have no faith in God. They rely on themselves and the foolish things the world teaches. I thank God for His only begotten Son who paid our sin debt in full. Not only does He save all who will believe the message of the cross, He lets His followers see the complete picture. The average number of Americans who die daily is around 7500; think about that while the media has people in utter shock and panic.

I love the Word of God and I know His Word never fails. The Word of God is our sure foundation and we faint not. This can be a wonderful Easter if we will only see it in the Spirit. God is always working, and He knows all about the virus, not only does He know, He is bringing us through it. My prayer is that we all come out of this stronger in our faith and read the times.

Jesus is coming for His Bride, are you ready?

                                                                   God Bless You,
                                                                  Pastor   Roger

Passion Week

Passion Week begins today, it seems to me we have been in a passion month. It seems nearly the whole world is shut down and if for any reason you are not self-quarantined, you do not love America or your family. Yes, I am in favor of taking necessary precautions and doing what we can to stop the virus of corona. Yet true numbers do not lie and there are still far more people dying from the regular flu and have for many years. So why all the panic” Well “they say” this is what we ought to do! Just think the most Holy Week in the entire Bible and I believe the devil has shut the church down without even a fight from most Christians. I do not live by “they say” but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God! Matthew 4:4

Today is Palm Sunday and also known as “Triumphal Sunday”. I pray by the end of today, we can say “Yes this was a triumphal Sunday.” Most of our Christian lives we have been reminded we walk by faith not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7 and 2 Corinthians 4:18 “fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” Do you really think the world believes these passages? Well, right now many Christians are having difficulty to live this out. How can one fix their eyes on things not seen? Well, it is very elementary, these are “spiritual eyes” and spiritual eyes only see things that are not seen by physical eyes. Why are so many living in fear rather than faith? Only God knows, however, I believe Jesus Christ covers us and walks with us in every trial. Well, what shall we do? We must press in pray all the more, exercise our faith that it might be seen by unbelievers. We are in Jesus, the light of this unbelieving world. Thank God in the Name of Jesus we are passionate for His presence!
God Bless You,
Pastor   Roger
