Pastor Roger’s Blog

Today we welcome Jose and Diana and their church into ours. I believe God is directing our walk as we have been in much prayer about evangelism. We are excited to see what God has in mind for Spirit Filled Church. We know we must walk by faith and go forward as the last days are upon us. I know this entire body has a heart to win the lost. This was the last command Jesus gave before He went back into His Father. Matthew 28:19-20.

When God opens a door we must walk through it believing He died to save all who will believe and confess His name publicly. Yes, we must make acknowledgment to Him with our mouth. He said out of the heart the mouth speaketh. It’s not enough to be a secret Christian. We must speak up and follow Him.

Matthew 10:32-33 “Therefore whoever confesses me before men, him I will also confess before my Father who is in heaven. (33) But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.”

We do not believe Jesus was kidding, as a matter of fact, He never wasted words. This is one main reason we give altar calls. It is an opportunity to confess publicly. What an honor to stand before the Body and confess His name. I am very thankful He gives us this great blessing. Yes, we can do many mighty works in His name, but we all start at this confession.

So many great things God is doing here. Please find your calling and press in. It’s not enough just to say we love Him. We must put our faith into action.

These are exciting times. Don’t miss your blessing in His Name.

                                                                         God Bless,

                                                                    Pastor   Roger

Psalm 107:8-9 Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! (9) For He satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry soul with goodness.

I can’t begin to grasp how anyone would not want to serve God and allow Him to bless their lives. Even when His children are in difficult times, He is right with us willing to carry the load. That’s precisely why He became flesh to prove His love by making a way for all who would receive can have hope in the darkness. We all know He is the light of the world and He wants to shine through all that will be willing to be His vessel. Part of the willingness is to live out the great commission to a lost world. Matthew 28:19 (So how can we do that?)

One thing for sure is if we keep doing the same thing the same way, we will have the same results. As we have been praying for a plan of evangelism made just for Spirit Filled Church, we must be sensitive to His Holy Spirit. He has been speaking to us, we must hear with spiritual hearing and be ready to reach out to those who are so desperate, and many are even suicidal. These are the ones we must reach before it’s too late.

God has blessed Spirit-Filled Church as you know but most in this valley don’t know we exist. That will be part of our vision to find ways to get the word out as He has blessed all of us with. God will make a way and He is answering our prayers.

Yesterday there were some 200 people here for the Patriot’s Meeting and most are unchurched. I was praying they would sense the Holy Spirit and be drawn back to us.

One more week has passed in our new year. How have you progressed this week? We have enjoyed many great services with prayer meetings at an all-time high. We all knew if the libs could rid President Trump the news would start to improve. Just this week we can now seat six people in a restaurant (wow).

We know the Bible is clear as to end times; we all want to be optimistic, but the truth is in the Word of God. Matthew 24:12 “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.”

Why would love grow cold as lawlessness increases? One would think love would increase in lawless times, wouldn’t we? These are the words of Jesus as a warning to saints, it can be very disheartening when we see sin abound. However, this is precisely why Jesus warned us not to forsake meeting together. Every time we gather in His Name He is in our midst. We need more meetings where His Holy Spirit is allowed to lead and speak to us. If by chance you feel a little discouraged, test yourself about the commitment to service other than Sunday morning. I really believe our prayer meetings are gaining in His power and I know it is His will to pray out loud and give Him glory.

Just this Tuesday noon a godly lady confessed she was under attack and felt some depression, however, as the body began to pray and cry out to God, she really got blessed and she testified at the close of that prayer meeting she was ready to face this dark world. So every warrior knows exactly what I am saying. And if by chance some don’t, they will admit they are reluctant to cry out with a loud voice. Try it and see if God isn’t right when He said “if you don’t cry out He will make the rocks do it.”

                                                                         God Bless,

Pastor   Roger

Three-day weekend for many, we had to choose between Valentine’s Day or President’s Day. You guessed it, we went with love and hearts rather than deceit and thievery. Draw your own conclusions but 1 Corinthians 13:13 tells us love is the greatest.

Jesus said, “How can you love me if you do not do what I say?” Jesus wants all of us to keep (obey) His word. He makes a way in difficult times. He gave all who will receive the power of His Holy Spirit, will lead us into truth and righteousness. He knows we can’t keep His word in our human flesh, that’s precisely why He said, “If I do not go away, I cannot send you the Helper” John 16:7. Nevertheless, I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.”

This verse teaches us we must have the Holy Spirit to help us in our times of weakness.

We all have heard we must love even the unlovable but in ourselves, we just can’t do that. However, as we learn to walk in His Spirit, He will help us love through Him.

We must pray for those who teach the Holy Spirit went away in the flesh so that He could fill us with His Spirit.

It has been said ‘no matter how high you jump, but how straight you walk when you land.’ Yes, may we all walk the straight street that leads us to the New Heaven He has prepared for His own.

Sad day in America, 48 years ago Supreme Court released their decision in Roe vs Wade, which led to millions of deaths of innocent babies.

I must ask how could any Christian vote for this present administration. Already they have endorsed murdering the unborn and releasing murderers from prison.

What can we do? The enemy wants true Christians to feel hopeless. We can fight back. The Word of God gives us specific instructions as to how.

2 Corinthians 10:4 “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.”

If this verse has become a cliché for you, you need to read the whole chapter and then throw your worldly flesh at these altars. We are spiritual warriors, not some militant group hiding in the shadows of fear and repression.

I believe Jesus is speaking loud and clear to His body “the church”. Equip yourselves by the power of My Spirit which is Holy.

I know we can tear down these strongholds however we will never remove evil spirits by fleshly warfare. I know it is time for every one of us to reexamine our spiritual walk. If you can’t give half-hour to corporate prayer, you really can’t complain about how Christians are losing their constitutional rights.

I have said and still believe when Christians rely on others to pray for us without joining in prayer, we are welfare Christians expecting someone else to work that we might receive the benefit.

This is no time to back off, quite the contrary we must encourage each other in the Lord and pray like Jesus did in the Garden of Gethsemane and preach like the Apostle Paul.

First week of the new administration, any surprises? Not really. The new president on the first day started undoing all the great things President Trump did. Of course, we are not surprised. That’s what they said they would do.

The question is what will we do? We begin with more powerful prayer and I believe we will continue. Our Lord Jesus Christ is our commanding officer; we are soldiers of His cross. Our spiritual battle really hasn’t changed, just a better understanding of the last days. As we pray thy will be done, we are praying God’s will for America. Of course, we are disappointed, but we must remain vigilant.

I really believe Christ’s Body “the Church”, the true church will take a step up in the spirit realm. I know for sure I am even more determined to increase my spiritual calling by living and walking in the spirit.

May we all be reminded “walking in the Spirit” is living our lives according to the written Word of God. Jesus clearly taught we are not part of this corrupt world system, we are in His Kingdom and He said in John 18:36 “My Kingdom is not of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My Kingdom is not from here.”

Yes, we are compelled to earn a living and provide for our families but we better keep our priorities in order – Jesus Christ, family, and then our nation. Jesus not only encouraged this He gave strict demand, He must come first in His disciple’s lives.

Matthew 10:18-19 “And anyone who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.”

faithful Members of Spirit Filled:

Psalm 85:6 Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?

Psalm 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord

When ancient Israel walked with God and in devoted service and obedience to Him, they were blessed. God had blessed them with a mighty, supernatural deliverance from slavery in Egypt and made them His “chosen people” (Isaiah 65:9). God gave them the great Hebrew Scriptures – Genesis through Malachi – which make up more than half of the Christian Bible. He gave them the Tabernacle and later the glorious temple in Jerusalem. He also gave them the land of Canaan as His ‘holy land” (Psalm 78:54; Zechariah 2:12). When they served God in the land, He gave them peace, security, and prosperity.

While Israel followed diligently after God, they experienced the fulfillment of that promise: “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” When they turned from Him to “other gods” (Exodus 20:3), they violated the very first of God’s Ten Commandments. As a nation they went deeper into idolatry, sexual wickedness, and other sins until God sent the northern 10 tribes (“Israel”) into captivity in Assyria. Not learning a lesson from that and failing to repent, the two southern tribes (“Judah”) were later sent into the Babylonian Captivity for 70 years. America, or any nation that turns from God, can expect its own “Captivity” sooner or later.

Exciting times to say the least. If any Christian can’t see this attack on President Trump and any who would call themselves conservatives, let alone Christians, must realize this is a full spiritual attack from our arch-enemy satan himself. Yes, we are listening to these modern-day prophets, flashpoint five prophets, Kent Christmas very exciting. Most are supposed to take place this January. I hope and pray they have heard from God. It’s not going to take years to see. In the meantime, what are spirit filled Christians to do? Do we need to change directions and follow men and women, we really don’t know.

Does the Bible say know those who labor among you

1 Thessalonians 5:12 “And we urge you brethren to recognize (know) those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you.” Why do you suppose God included this in this chapter? Well, read verses 1-4 and you will see.

I pray and hope these prophecies are right on and, yes, in the Name of Jesus I want to see and experience these great words. In the meantime, what shall we do back at the ranch (church)? We must continue and increase the very foundation Jesus gave us 31 plus years ago. This church will be built on prayer, praise and worship, and the Word of God. If you are weak in any of these, I admonish you to shore up the weak areas in your walk. It is “the church”, the Body of Jesus who is called to take this gospel to the world. No scripture teaches we are to have humans tell us what God says to the church. We must read it every day, pray for God’s confirmation through His church. Let’s keep our spiritual ears and spiritual eyes wide open. Jesus is speaking, the question is are we hearing?

One proof will be this Monday night at 7:00 pm for City-Wide Prayer. Yes, we must bind together and pray in Jesus’ Name to lead and guide us.

Brand new Sunday, brand new year. Happy New Year and happy forever from Spirit Filled Church. We love each and every one of you who help make up this Body of Jesus Christ. His church, His body, His people and He is the only hope we have, and He is all the hope we need.

We had a wonderful time praying in the New Year, it’s not my calling to judge what others do to welcome in the new year, however, we do have our calling in what we do. Many will greet the New Year by sleeping it in, others may celebrate some other way, but I believe we must always pray it in. I know I need prayer and I am sure we all do. Our nation is in great turmoil and the only one who can fix it is Christ Himself.

I am sure you have prayed about what God would have you do this year. I am believing for a clear-cut plan of Evangelism that we can help fulfill the great commission in Matthew Chapter 28 to make disciples of all the nations. No, we may not go to foreign nations, but we sure can pray for those who can and will.

We must use the most powerful weapon God has given us, as you know, that is the weapon of prayer.

Ephesians 6:18 praying always with all prayers and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

Yes, I want more prayer, less complaining and we will see what God has promised the over-coming church.

Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him (devil) by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to their death.

     And so shall we!

Merry Christmas from all of our leadership team, I am sure I speak for each and every one of us. This is a wonderful time of the year. We pray for every member to be highly blest in His Name. None of us need be reminded this whole celebration is about Jesus and what He gave that we all have an opportunity to be with Him and all true believers for eternity. We often jest in saying “Well I guess but God knows what He is doing, we are assured by His Word and confirming Holy Spirit He knows all things.

He knew us before we were conceived and He knows us even in the next realm. What a thought, how could He? He is God Almighty and made Himself flesh that we might become spirit. You know one of my favorite verses is

2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Yes, might become you mean I have to do something? Yes, we must receive Him as Lord and Savior and make Him Lord of our life.

This is not the time to be discouraged even when we are facing difficult times. Jesus looked beyond the cross to see the glory set before Him. Why would He expect anything less of us? Yes, even in difficult times we look beyond this present sinful world and see in the spirit realm what He has prepared for over two thousand years. That’s exactly why we do not fear death, this physical death is not the end only the beginning of our next life in and with Jesus and all of His creations.

Yes, Praise God for Christmas the very birth of Jesus with a plan above every thought any of us can grasp!
