faithful Members of Spirit Filled:

Psalm 85:6 Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?

Psalm 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord

When ancient Israel walked with God and in devoted service and obedience to Him, they were blessed. God had blessed them with a mighty, supernatural deliverance from slavery in Egypt and made them His “chosen people” (Isaiah 65:9). God gave them the great Hebrew Scriptures – Genesis through Malachi – which make up more than half of the Christian Bible. He gave them the Tabernacle and later the glorious temple in Jerusalem. He also gave them the land of Canaan as His ‘holy land” (Psalm 78:54; Zechariah 2:12). When they served God in the land, He gave them peace, security, and prosperity.

While Israel followed diligently after God, they experienced the fulfillment of that promise: “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” When they turned from Him to “other gods” (Exodus 20:3), they violated the very first of God’s Ten Commandments. As a nation they went deeper into idolatry, sexual wickedness, and other sins until God sent the northern 10 tribes (“Israel”) into captivity in Assyria. Not learning a lesson from that and failing to repent, the two southern tribes (“Judah”) were later sent into the Babylonian Captivity for 70 years. America, or any nation that turns from God, can expect its own “Captivity” sooner or later.

Brand new Sunday, brand new year. Happy New Year and happy forever from Spirit Filled Church. We love each and every one of you who help make up this Body of Jesus Christ. His church, His body, His people and He is the only hope we have, and He is all the hope we need.

We had a wonderful time praying in the New Year, it’s not my calling to judge what others do to welcome in the new year, however, we do have our calling in what we do. Many will greet the New Year by sleeping it in, others may celebrate some other way, but I believe we must always pray it in. I know I need prayer and I am sure we all do. Our nation is in great turmoil and the only one who can fix it is Christ Himself.

I am sure you have prayed about what God would have you do this year. I am believing for a clear-cut plan of Evangelism that we can help fulfill the great commission in Matthew Chapter 28 to make disciples of all the nations. No, we may not go to foreign nations, but we sure can pray for those who can and will.

We must use the most powerful weapon God has given us, as you know, that is the weapon of prayer.

Ephesians 6:18 praying always with all prayers and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

Yes, I want more prayer, less complaining and we will see what God has promised the over-coming church.

Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him (devil) by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to their death.

     And so shall we!

                                                                               God Bless

Even in most difficult times, it’s not difficult to praise Jesus at the time of His birth. The one thing we must do in difficult times is to focus on Him, not ourselves. God has been reminding all of us this year we must rise above the fray.

What else has He been speaking to our church? Last week He reminded us that all of our days are limited and never become too attached to this old sinful world that will burn to ashes when He says enough!

He also said the day after your conversion, you are more valuable than refined gold, the challenge is always ‘do we believe Him?’

November 15th, He gave us His word regarding His will is not man’s will. Our will must align to His will not the other way around. We submit to man’s will or law as long as it doesn’t conflict with His Word, which is the Christian law.

On November 1st, He gave me a message on “The Linen Sash”.  As you know, the wedding dress is the righteous acts of the saints.

Now is the time to stay close to Jesus through our actions not just our thoughts. All of these messages are on our web site and it is a good thing to go back and listen ask the Holy Spirit to confirm His Word.

I know God is leading our church and we are on the road to glory. Never grow weary in well doing because in due time we will be rewarded.

God bless each and every one of you as I am sure this is one of the greatest churches in Northern Nevada.

                                                                         God Bless

I have heard several people say, “It sure doesn’t feel like Thanksgiving”. Well, how should Thanksgiving feel? When we truly are thankful it doesn’t depend on how we feel.

No doubt this has been a very difficult year, however, before the rapture it may be worse. What we must do is discipline ourselves to give thanks in any and all circumstances. Yes, it is easier to speak it rather than the practice of it.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

We really are being tested this year and it doesn’t look promising in the near future. Only those who are true disciples can give thanks in all circumstances.

I know I am still in training and the only way I have found is to live verse 17. I am still praying for a miracle for President Trump. But our true hope is in Jesus Christ. He is the only one who loves us so much to die like a common criminal so those who believe in Him will have eternal life with Him. That is our real joy knowing full well this is not our home. We are looking for a city not built by man’s hands. The city called Four-Square with twelve gates one, for each tribe of Juda.

I challenge each and everyone of our members to get in these prayer meetings and cry out to God in the Name of Jesus. He is our true love and hope. “He must increase, I must decrease” said the Apostle Paul. If Paul felt that way where does that leave me? I must get that higher spiritual plane He has for all who will press in!

Great hymn from the 1800s, ‘Great is thy faithfulness, morning by morning new mercies I see, all I have needed thy hand has provided!’

With all the distractions and sickness this year to be thankful can easily be overlooked. God sure has continued to bless our church. Souls still saved nearly every week. Next to giving praise to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the great commission is to win the lost. We are praying God will show our church how we can be more effective in winning the lost. There are thousands in our city who will not inherit the Kingdom of God according to the Word of God. I know you are seeking God to give divine direction.

The next thing we must do is get all children connected to Spirit-Filled in these youth classes, all the way from the cradle to senior high. We must teach as many boys and girls that Jesus is real and we must be born again. We can never take salvation for granted; the public schools and universities will brainwash your children. We must teach them the truth.

I know these days can be very discouraging but often we tend to forget the end goal. As you know Jesus clearly taught this is not our home. We just read Jesus endured the cross, despising the shame, for the joy set before Him.

Yes, we are thankful, and we must give thanks to Jesus even in difficult times, perhaps even more so in dark days.

Yes, we are living in exciting times or at least anxious times. The Bible has clear instructions for this.

Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; (vs 7) and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus

Once again as always, we are reminded how to have peace in troubled times. How can anyone make your requests known to God except through earnest prayer. I do not think we can find any scripture for casual prayer. How many times have we not commented after a real prayer meeting; how God gives peace beyond all understanding. The problem is not that we don’t agree, the problem lies in application. Listening to your neighbor pray is not counted as you praying. We must pray all the more especially with this election theft. This is a time to get into every prayer meeting and pray with supplication.

Supplication defined – (noun) the action of asking or begging for something earnestly or humbly.

Once years ago I asked a minister if he would like to preach on a Sunday morning, he replied, “Well, I guess so and if you want me too.” That was not the answer I was looking for. I wanted to hear “Yes sir. I really would love to preach on a Sunday morning.” Well, I think we can apply the same logic to prayer. If we really don’t care one way or the other, I don’t think that is what God wants from us. But to plead, beg, cry out by intercession is what God wants according to His recorded Word.

Faithful Members of Spirit-Filled:

Two days from the election. We pray all of you will cast your vote in favor of God’s Word. Some might think we should never mention politics in church. So we just want people to vote Biblically, not politically. I wish everyone could have been in the Tuesday night Bible Study when I taught this lesson. Vote for law and order,

God is for law and order; Matthew 24:12;

God is pro-life;  He is the author of life Acts 3:15;

God is pro-family Genesis 1:27-28;

God is pro-traditional family Matthew 19:4-6

God is pro-Israel Deuteronomy 14:2

We all have seen how easy the government shut down the churches, a clear violation of the First Amendment.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and to petition the Government for a redress of grievance.

I believe it is the responsibility of the church to teach these things. If we do not fight for freedom, we could lose it. As Christians, we must take a stand for these God-given rights. How could anyone be in favor of killing innocent babies? Jesus help us and forgive our sins. If we vote for any person who is pro-choice in abortion, then we share in their guilt. So, yes, we better know what these politicians are in favor of.

I strongly encourage every one of us to be here tomorrow night at 7:00 pm as we pray for God’s will and protection for our United States. Our prayers really make a difference when we humble ourselves at the feet of Jesus and pray for His blessing upon our nation. See you here!

I love the KJ and the NKJ; we can depend on this translation to guide us to the city built Four Square. However, as we read in Psalm 136 that God’s mercy endures forever is not the best translation. God’s love who is Jesus Christ endures forever but we will see an end to God’s mercy when He lifts His Holy Spirit off this planet called earth. During the tribulation those left behind will be living without God’s mercy, however, His love will still save those who do not take the mark of the beast. The reason I point this out is not to give false hope to lukewarm Christians who think they can serve two masters.

Most everyone in our circles are expecting the rapture of the church any day now. And I believe Jesus is about ready to claim His church the Bride of Christ. How can anyone be part of the Bride being raptured without being part of the church? Are there two brides? Of course not, the Bride of Christ is excited about being part of the church Jesus birthed on the Day of Pentecost. Jesus did say He will build His church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18). Pre-vail (verb) prove more powerful than the opposing forces; be victorious.

Yes, the church, Christ’s Body, is the most powerful force on earth. The power is in Christ’s Holy Spirit. It is not by our strength or works but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

This is how Jesus taught; we must preach the Word, His Word. The Bible is Jesus Christ printed on the pages and all we have to do is read and act upon His instructions. No one should rely on false hope but be sure we are in step with the one who paid our sin debt.

The goodness of God, who could ever fully articulate? One of our great old hymns sings of the Great Things He Has Done, so loved He the world He gave us His Son! What a thought; far too great for most to comprehend. How could anyone love sinners so much to give their only innocent Son that the sinner could have eternal life? We believe this is a fundamental truth and is the very foundation of our faith. Without having faith in this truth, no one will ever enter into the glorious heaven He has been preparing for 2000 years for all who believe and live as His disciples. Salvation is free in receiving however, there is a cost, that is we must die to self in order to live for Him.

When we speak of watering down His word, we mean those who teach you can have both worlds. His and this world we are now in. However, Jesus said you cannot have both, we must choose one or the other.

Matthew 6:24 Jesus said no one can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon (money).

Many people want His Kingdom but they don’t want God in it. We must be sold out to either Him or the world. You know what happens to those in the middle called lukewarm. The Word of God said it makes Him sick and He will vomit those out of His mouth Revelation 3:16 (the lukewarm church).

Interesting to compare John 3:16 and Revelation 3:16. He gives all an opportunity to be saved and then tells us plainly what will happen if we do not choose Jesus’ sacrifice by coming to this sinful world. Choose life and live!

Welcome to October eleventh; only three more Sundays before the re-election of President Trump! I trust you received your voting guide in the mail. Christians must vote and vote pro-life. I do not know of any Democrat who is pro-life so that should be a help for all. None of us should be living in fear, either way, we win. We must always remember this old world will pass away, but heaven is forever!

God is blessing our church in spite of every attack. Last Sunday we baptized five more saints in the Name of Jesus. We are continuing to work on our kid programs. I do understand Christians being cautious, but these kids need to be in church, the same as adults. Especially if they are homeschooled or on-line. Kids need to have friends outside of being locked up with a computer all day. They must have these Bible truths taught to them.

One word God has placed in my mind this week is “faithfulness”. Faithfulness is one being full of faith; one could say that is a no brainer, however, we need the encouragement of like believers and accountability. The Bible clearly teaches we are accountable to fellow church members of His Body. None of us can do everything, but all of us can do something, just like supporting C.P.C. We took a full pick-up load of baby goods and a thousand-dollar check. Thanks to this Body. The same is true, we may not be able to save every baby, but we can save some. We all must pray this murderous low be repealed and America repents for the worst crime and sin in our history. We must seek the face of Jesus and obey His Word. Thank God for His Holy Spirit who guides all who will allow Him to lead us.
